Actually 653 is not available anymore. Only the last 10 builds are available. You can try the latest one (665) http://bamboo.igniterealtime.org/browse/SPARK-INSTALL4J-665/artifact/shared/Inst all4j/
It shouldn't be much different from 653. It should work fine with Java 8. If you still get errors when using the online installer, try the full installer with Java bundled. It will come with Java 7. But you can try to delete jre folder in C:\Program Files\Spark and it will use the system java then. You can check which Java Spark is using by going into Help > About menu.
